David Guetta Drops Refreshing Summer Track ‘Take Me Back’ With Lewis Thompson: Listen
David Guetta added another collaboration to his musical arsenal – a nostalgic deep house track with a songwriter Lewis Thompson.
In the midst of the festive season, enriched by his weekly residencies in Ibiza, David Guetta has given us a radio hit made in collaboration with behind-the-scenes songwriting master Lewis Thompson. This Friday, deep house notes mixed with a 90s-tinged production came in the form of a 2-minute bop ready to invade clubs and radios and awaken the nostalgia of all its listeners.
Speaking of the track, Lewis said:
“Nostalgia is one of the most powerful emotions in the world, everyone relates to that sudden feeling of being taken back to a certain time. ‘Take me back’ takes you on a journey to reminisce and relive the past , and cherish what’s in front of us right now. I’m really proud to release this as my first record.”
Speaking of Lewis, David Guetta said:
“He’s always been a bit behind the scenes…but he’s so talented, I want the world to see him.”
Although this is the first time his name has signed on his own, Lewis Thompson has been a pioneer in the UK music industry for years. As a talented songwriter behind some of Britain’s most popular singles, his work can be found among small mixture, MNEK, Anne Marie, Becky Hill, Jade Thirlwall and much more. Being half of the DJ/producer duo I’m joking’ Lewis has stepped into the limelight with his own arsenal of dance tunes and is ready to take over dance playlists and dance radio.
David Guetta has now added another collaboration to his musical arsenal with this track, the most recent being with james hype called “It’s crazy what love can do”. The French DJ is currently busy with weekly residencies F***ME I AM FAMOUS! at Ushuaia and Future Rave at Hi Ibizaas well as occasional boat parties with friends whose videos he shares on his Instagram.
