Ed Sheeran and J Balvin call New Music Daily on Apple Music 1 to discuss collaborating on their new songs “Sigue” and “Forever My Love.”

Ed Sheeran tells Apple Music about his collaboration with J Balvin…
They were made in a very, very, very natural way. It wasn’t a label reaching out. We met at a gym and first made friends, then later we started making music and it happened in a very natural way. And yes, I’m really excited to post them and see what you think. I learned Spanish for them, which took some time. So I guess that’s my new party thing. Yeah, I guess that’s a skill he shows.

Ed Sheeran tells Apple Music that J Balvin bought him an iPad and hid it in a pizza box…
I had an old iPad that I had for a while. It had a broken screen that I just couldn’t bother to replace. And José bought me a new iPad, which was weird, and then hid it in a pizza box. I mean, that was very, very nice of him. And I still have it now. It’s actually right here. But yes, I remember having an iPad in a pizza box and a pizza box for… pizza for breakfast. But yeah, it was fun.

J Balvin tells Apple Music about creating “Sigue” and “Forever My Love” with Ed Sheeran…
The songs were about love and celebration. We wanted to do the best of both worlds, with Ed Sheeran doing and what we do. And this creative show is about women saying love and… love in general. The check in process was amazing. First we became friends, then we didn’t plan anything. We were just in New York and we started to vibrate and then… Here we are. Life brought us together and that’s why we just did this amazing project. We came great friends and here we are.
