High Desert Chamber Music announces auditions for Spotlight Chamber Players
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – High Desert Chamber Music has announced that auditions for Spotlight Chamber Players will be held Thursday through Friday, October 7 and 9.
This program is devoted exclusively to the study and performance of chamber music skills and techniques and is offered free of charge to selected students.
Auditions are open to students of violin, viola, cello, bass and piano in grades 6 to 12 with three or more years of private study and intermediate to advanced levels of playing.
Former graduates of the SCP program have continued their studies in musical performance at the Colburn Conservatory of Music, the Eastman School of Music, and others.
Recipients of this award will receive weekly chamber group instruction with Isabelle Senger, as well as individual and group instruction with selected guest artists from the HDCM concert series. Participation in HDCM performances is offered.
Throughout the year there will be paid performance opportunities in the community. A one-season commitment is required, and set placement and type will be determined after the audition process.
