Maggie Rogers surrenders to love in “This Is Where I Am”

Maggie Rogers pledges to the one she loves in new song ‘That’s Where I Am’. This is the first single from his second album, Abandonment, which arrives July 29 via Capitol. The video for the track will be released on Friday. It was filmed in New York and features famous cameos.

In the peppy song that Rogers co-wrote and produced with Kid Harpoon, she tells the story of a love interest that makes her “wish we could do this forever” though “mistakes were made.” The hand-beaten rhythms accentuate the story of the friendship which turns into something more.

The sequel to his impressive major label debut in 2019 Heard in a past life, Abandonment was recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York, at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios near Bath, England, and in his parents’ garage.
