Music industry luminaries tapped to judge amateur singing and songwriting contestants for DFW icon November 12, 2022

Executive of the largest music catalog publisher, The Human Hitmaker, Country Artist, Harper Grace & Kingpin of Pop Talent Gather at Gilley’s

DALLAS, October 10, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Four music industry professionals whose careers as artist developers, vocal coaches, marketers, chutzpah tweakers, agent connectors, uber marketers, personal branders and online presence trainers stage for some of show business’s biggest companies will judge the 6th annual DFW icon Singing and amateur writing contest. This group will judge the final on stage at the legendary Gilley’s in dallas where singers as young as 5 and original songwriters of all ages will compete until $1500 in cash prizes and opportunities with industry legends. Competitors from across the United States will perform on stage in dallas to compete for the first places November 122022. DFW Icon was recently acquired by a non-profit organization with the aim of providing an entry for young talent to connect them to the professional music industry and its partners include Happy Camper Live and The Creatives Factory.

“Breaking into the music industry isn’t easy without connections,” said DFW Icon’s new owner, Jennifer Wang. “We have booked judges who can really make a difference in someone’s career.”

Music pros include:

Donna Greccovice president of creative and asset management for Primary Wave, one of the most prolific publishing and talent management companies in the industry, which owns catalogs, estates and songs of artists from James Brown, Stevie Nicks at Bob Marley. Grecco oversees experiential marketing where she has put together concepts for Klipsch, Soapbox, Mastercard, Amazon Music, along with their roster.

Member of the famous Country Singer list, Harper Grace started as a DFW Icon contestant when she was 14 years old. Grace found success on American Idol and recently completed a tour with Nelly and signed a deal with Curb Records. Her new single titled “Freedom” was released in January, followed by another tour in the fall.

Linda Septiendubbed the “Kingpin of Pop Talent”, is a “vocologist” and artist developer whose clients have included Selena Gomez, Leon Bridgesmany American Idol contestants, Kevin Haley of Joyand Jenna Raine to become number 1 on Spotify. She is the author of “The Highway to Viral Singing”, about what singers do to stimulate audiences.
