Paul Weller announces special outdoor show at Royal Hospital Chelsea – Music News
Paul Weller is due to play a special show at the Royal Hospital in Chelsea.
The Jam legend is set to release his new album “An Orchestral Songbook” with the BBC Symphony Orchestra on Friday (10.12.21), and tickets will also go on sale that day for the new outdoor concert in London.
On June 19, Paul will perform in the hall’s courtyard as it “transforms” into a “unique” concert space.
In a tweet on his official Twitter account, his team said: “Delighted to announce that Paul will be performing another outdoor show in London in 2022.
“It will take place at the Royal Hospital in Chelsea … The show will see the courtyard transformed into one of the most amazing and unique concert halls.”
The Live At Chelsea concert series returns for its 6th year in 2022, having showcased an eclectic lineup of artists in the past.
Jeff Beck, Toto, Rufus Wainwright, Simply Red, Belle & Sebastian, Kaiser Chiefs and Sir Tom Jones graced the stage.
In addition to the music numbers, punters can expect a warm welcome from Chelsea retirees themselves.
Each year, a portion of event ticket sales goes to the care of Chelsea retirees, as well as the upkeep of the Grade I listed site, which has provided care and camaraderie to former servicemen since 1682, date of its foundation by King Charles II.
Tickets for the show at the Royal Hospital Chelsea go on sale Friday (10.12.21) at 10am via MyTicket.co.uk.
