The Neiman Marcus Band celebrates the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through a partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Boys & Girls Clubs of America is a national organization that advances MLK’s dream of equality through life-changing programs, resources and mentorship, and serves 54% of youth of color. With the help of highly skilled and innovative staff and trusted partners, the organization can deliver consistent, quality programming that provides access to different experiences and opportunities, enabling and empowering young people to reach their full potential.

Chairman and CEO of NMG, Geoffrey van Raemdonck, says, “NMG is a very proud and legendary partner of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. I am so grateful to our loyal customers and associates who have helped us achieve our $1 million brand, and I am proud to help share with them the work and mission of the Boys & Girls Club of America. On behalf of the Society, we are thrilled to be able to offer funds that provide essential resources to young people across the country. Being able to contribute and help enrich the lives of young people in a meaningful way is a big step for us as an organization.”

NMG also sparked the spirit of giving back throughout the holiday season in MLK Weekend, raising funds through a combination of grants and point-of-sale fundraisers, such as the annual Giving Campaign. NMG parties, and store associates support local Boys and Girls Clubs by participating in toy drives and gift giving. Neiman Marcus Group Human Resources Director, Eric Severson, was able to celebrate the arrival of our $1 million amount donated with a check made out to The Company to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The Neiman Marcus Group is proud to be able to partner with the non-profit organization, which is one of the company’s largest grant recipients that receives funds from NMG’s corporate donations, fundraising point-of-sale funds and cause marketing efforts. NMG is delighted to be able to contribute this amount, which is equivalent to 1,000,000 healthy after-school snacks or 100,000 hours of homework assistance for clubs in NMG communities across the country.

“Boys & Girls Clubs of America believes that every young person deserves a safe place to belong,” said jim clark, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. “We are honored to celebrate this important milestone in our partnership with Neiman Marcus and we look forward to continuing to help young people achieve a bright future. »

Neiman Marcus Group has also partnered with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra to be the presenting sponsor for the performance of Lyric of Strings, written by george walker, the first African-American composer to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music. The company sponsored tickets for representatives of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, who attended the concert over the weekend.

NMG plans to expand point-of-sale fundraising success with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and other nonprofit organizations. The Company will continue to lovingly lead all current and future partnerships by cultivating a culture of belonging and supporting causes close to the Company and its customers.
